What makes a good IPTV app for Android

Android has a huge choice of IPTV players, but quality varies a lot. When you evaluate an app, check for:

  • Official distribution through Google Play, rather than APKs from unknown websites.
  • M3U/M3U8 and Xtream Codes API support, the formats most providers use.
  • Live TV separated from movies and series, with search and favorites.
  • Sync between phone, tablet and TV.
  • No content included: avoid apps that sell channels together with the player.

In the meantime: the web app and Apple devices

While the Android version is on its way, you can use JIPTV in your browser with the web app, or on Apple devices: iPhone and iPad, Apple TV and Mac. For the TV, a version for Android TV and Google TV is coming too.

JIPTV is a graphic media player, not a content service.

No content included

JIPTV does not provide, host, sell, or distribute channels, video streams, movies, or playlists. It is exclusively software that plays what you upload.

You bring your sources

Add your own M3U playlists or Xtream credentials from providers you are authorized to use. JIPTV simply reads and displays them.

Subscription unlocks the player

The payment, handled in-app, unlocks the app features — it does not grant access to any content. No purchases happen on this site.

Supported devices

One player, all your screens.

JIPTV is already available across the whole Apple ecosystem: iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. Windows, Android, Android TV, Fire TV and Samsung and LG Smart TVs are coming soon.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Is JIPTV available on Android?

The version for Android phones and tablets is coming soon to Google Play. Today JIPTV is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac and as a web app in your browser.

Can I use JIPTV on Android right now?

Yes, through the web app: open my.jiptv.net in your browser and sign in. The Android app is coming to Google Play.

What is the best IPTV app for Android?

Look for an app distributed on Google Play, compatible with M3U and Xtream, that separates Live TV from VOD and syncs your devices. JIPTV is built on these criteria and is coming to Android soon.

Will JIPTV for Android include channels?

No. JIPTV is and will remain only a player: it does not provide or sell any content and only plays the sources you add.
